W&W Blastblog - Podcast Platform

W&W Blastblog is a custom-built podcast distribution application. The world-famous DJ duo W&W, Willem van Hanegem and Ward van der Harst, use it to release a new episode of their podcast Rave Culture every two weeks. They play at major festivals all over the world, and that international reach is reflected in their number of listeners: tens of thousands every week.

With the right tool and a little planning, podcasting is easy. In Blastblog you manage new episodes in one place and distribute them to popular podcast apps, such as iTunes, PocketCast and Deezer.

For this application, a fast dedicated server was set up and configured for wide reach. The main goal of the application was therefore optimization and simplicity, by keeping overhead to a minimum.
